Techno-Fundamental Trading

Join along as Philip Gotthelf explains Techno-Fundamental Trading.
Listen to an MP3 seminar as you following along in the PDF workbook.

Seminar Topic: Major commodity trends have always been linked to fundamental market events. Huge profit potential is available to those who correctly predict changes in supply and demand, yet the art of fundamental analysis is being lost as traders concentrate on the intense pursuit of technical methods and computerized trading techniques. The skillful combination of fundamental analysis and technical timing creates a hybrid "TechnoFundamental" approach that Philip believes provides the best opportunity to identify and trade commodity, financial, and energy trends. In this unique presentation, you will learn how to apply the best of both forms of market analysis.

Average True Range Channels

May 30, 2007 · Filed Under General · Comment

The Foreign Exchange market is riddled with technical analysts, and every type of analysis is actively used all the time. Elliott Wave and Gann are particularly popular, but also standard statistical techniques, patterns and candlesticks are used. The FX market is the largest volume and most liquid market. It is a 24-hour market, thus a model of how equity trading will look in a short time. This market is relatively unique in having government intervention and is sometimes correlated with other markets such as equities and gold. Barbara shows you what methods she uses and why the Average True Range Channels help her stay out of trouble. She also discusses the dilemma of trading multiple time frames and why there is often more profit in trading the correction than the trend.

One week later, did we make or lose money?

"On the Line"
Part 2

O.K. here we are exactly one week after we used our new "Trade the Triangle" scan tool and picked out 5 different markets to trade.

So, how did we do?

Was it a success, or did we lose money?

I am going to let you decide.

Remember we are trading with a $25,000 paper trading account (we recommend paper trading for everyone just starting out) and we are using $19,912.25 to margin and pay for our positions. We have in reserve $5,087.75.

See how we did here - Results

30.00 Per Share on AQNT..Proof…

Trading using MarketClub’s buy and sell signals really works for swing/position trading. Will the signals pick winning trades every time…NO!! Nothing can predict the markets trend perfectly every time, but what it boils down to is good filtering, proper money management skills, and confidence in the program and strategy you are using.

In addition to good filtering, proper money management skills, and confidence in the program and strategy you are use traders need a way to PICK the symbols that are going to be profitable! MarketClub members know the power of the signals, but until NOW haven’t been able to harness their full power…thats ALL changed!! Watch the videos below on Filtering and Scanning:

Trading Without a Safety Net

May 19, 2007 · Filed Under General, Trader Lessons · 2 Comments

Hi, traders, Adam Hewison here.

I am not sure if you ever saw our very first trading video …

But people are still talking about it.

This time we have really gone out on a limb.

Some would call it crazy, some might call it flying without a safety net.

Here’s what we did.

We made a new video, nothing new in that, but this one is different.

Why is it different?

Here’s one of my favorite chart formations.

May 16, 2007 · Filed Under Chart of the Day, General, Trader Lessons, Trading Tips · Comment
 Head and Shoulders Formations

One of the oldest and most reliable of all chart formations is the Head and Shoulders Formation. This formation takes place usually after a trend has been established and in place for some time. It can in rarer instances take place in a continuation pattern and still be effective. The two formations we are going to look at today are a Head and Shoulders Top (HAST) and a Head and Shoulders Base (HASB). Both of these formations have a high degree of accuracy and usually portend a major change in direction for a market.

See a chart and read more on Head and Shoulder formations here.

Every Success to you.

Why Traders Should Play Video Games

WHY TRADERS SHOULD PLAY VIDEO GAMES

Last week for my birthday I received a PS3 (Playstation 3 Video Game console
for those who live on a planet other than Earth).

It’s very cool.

Of course, then I needed the latest 1080p TV to play it on. So I bought that
today … 56 beautiful inches of DLP.

Then, you don’t want to invest all that money, only to have your experience
ruined by a sub par sound system. So I invested in a nice Sony surround
sound system as well.

Gosh, you’d think I was 12.

2007 has been an incredible year in the markets, and we are committed to make MarketClub the premier online service for equities, futures, and foreign exchange traders.

Our service matches real-time headlines with your exact trading interests, all part of your subscription to MarketClub. Already off to a big start, Market Headlines is giving users like you an edge in the marketplace.

We have been rapidly expanding our server infrastructure for speed and reliability. Scanning over 230,000 symbols tick by tick, we are able to give you streaming charts and analysis that respond instantly to your request.
Scans
As of today, we have a new Smart Scan section. This has always been a favorite of mine, a search engine to find a better trade. Wait until you see this improvement. Search by chart analysis score! Looking for short term rallies, charts ready to break out, or new Giant Footprints? I encourage you to login and try the new scans:

http://club.ino.com/members/scan/

Many members have requested filters to allow scanning by price, volume, or filtering Canadian stocks and mutual funds. We listened. Smart Scan will save you time and provide new opportunities for trading. Look forward to a new video that will show you our tips for using the new Smart Scan.Filters

Here’s to your trading success,

Dave
