This new/old technical tool can make you money (new video)
This video is a little bit different from our previous videos in that we show you some of the new improvements we’ve just added to MarketClub.
I just got the word from my business partner Dave Maher,
who is the technical part of the team that he had just upgraded the MarketClub charts. I was so excited at the improvements that I decided to rush over to our digital studios and create a new video. All credit goes to Dave and his team who did an outstanding job on this new MarketClub release.
One major improvement and one I believe you’re going to really enjoy and profit from is a study called “Donchian Channels.” This study is named after its inventor Richard Donchian who created this amazing technical juggernaut in the late 40s.
There are also a ton of other improvements like, cross hairs and a new 200 day moving average study which I think you’ll enjoy. You might be surprised at how I use the 200 day moving average.

Looking at the S&P 500 Index … again
Today we’re going to be looking at the S&P 500 market. We last reviewed this market back on May 12th when it was trading at 908. Here we are two weeks later and the market is at 914.
That doesn’t seem like a big move, but we’ve had some pretty big moves in the interim both on the upside and downside.
I think you’ll find this new video interesting and informative. In addition to the two trend lines that I graphically illustrate in the May 12th video, I’ll share with you today two other tech indicators that I’ve been watching.
You can view this new video with my compliments. There are no registration requirements. Please enjoy and give your feedback on our blog. Thank you.

We update our gold outlook (new video)
The gold market sprang into life yesterday (5/20) as it closed in on $940 level which brings it back to its best levels since March 20th. We last looked at the gold market shortly after my return from New Zealand on May 5th. At that time, Gold (xauusdo) was trading at $902 you can see that all on my earlier video. Presently we are trading around $937 zone and it looks as though we can see further upside action in this market.
I think you’ll find this new video very informative and you may watch with my compliments. There are no registration requirements. Please enjoy and give your feedback on our blog. Thank you.

Free Video Seminar - “Applying Technical Methods to Today’s Trading”
Excerpt from John Murphy’s seminar, “Applying Technical Methods To Today’s Trading,” offered for on INO TV Free…
—
“For those of you that trade the futures markets, there are a lot of other things outside the future markets
that you should be following. But, I guess my bigger message is… for those of you that aren’t in the futures markets, whether you trade them or not, the futures markets have a tremendous impact on what happens in the other markets.
I keep pointing out to the Wall Street crowd for example, that if you’re going to trade stocks, you have to know what’s happening in the futures markets, because they affect inflation, they affect interest rates, they affect stock groups, and they play a tremendously important part in the whole financial spectrum.”

In this seminar, Murphy shares his non-traditional methods for selecting markets to trade based around commodity trends and leading indicators. His intermarket analysis is put in action to show just how commodities can put a drag or a rocket under a stock.
Murphy is a former CNBC analyst, the principal of JJM Technical Advisors, and author of Technical Analysis of the Futures Markets (1986), Intermarket Analysis (1991), and The Visual Investor (1996).

“I love the forex markets.” (New video)
I have to start out by stating that “I love the forex markets.”
But what’s this?
Here we are going to hell in a handbasket in the US, yet everybody wants to own dollars.
Go figure.
I have to say that the dollar may be the lesser of all evils in the financial world. Here’s what I mean by that statement: I heard that a Chinese businessman who lives in Hong Kong said that the stimulus plan would not work in China, simply because there is so much corruption.
I guess in the US we only have a few bad applies, while China it’s almost like they have orchards full of bad apples.
But I digress…
Let’s take a look at the US Dollar versus the Japanese Yen (USDJPY). A few weeks ago, I did a video outlining my predictions for this very cross.
Well, after being stopped out of our first position for a small loss, we had another signal based on our daily “Trade Triangle” technology, which issued another entry signal at a very good level. The level is clearly indicated on the chart and you’ll see this level in my new video for this cross.
The video, as always, is free of charge and there’s no need to register. This is an educational trading video to show you one of the most important technical chart formations and how to incorporate our “Trade Triangle” technology to come up with big winners.
For as long as I’ve been in the investment game (over 3 decades), this simple formation continues to show itself year after year.
Enjoy the video, and please feel free to make your comments known on our blog. Before I forget, here’s the link to the first video we did on the USD/YEN cross a few weeks ago.

“Saturday Seminars” - Teach An Old Indicator New Tricks
The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) is included in most technical analysis charting programs, but it has yet to enjoy the popularity of an RSI or an MACD. Some traders may be misled by the name into thinking the CCI applies only to commodities, but the larger problem with its acceptance as an analytic technical tool rests with the confusion about how to use and interpret the CCI.
In this session, Barbara shows you how to clear away this confusion and tap into the potential of this powerful momentum indicator. The CCI is as effective with stocks, indices, and mutual funds as it is with commodities. Barbara has had the benefit of interviewing the creator of the CCI, Donald Lambert, and will share some of the insights he provided about the purpose and application of the indicator. Although it was originally developed as a programming experiment linked to cycles, users found the CCI to be much more versatile. Barbara tells you how to unleash the power of the CCI by providing examples of several different trading techniques including how to use the CCI as a leading indicator.
Barbara Star, Ph.D., part-time trader, author, and university professor, provides one-on-one technical analysis training for both beginning and experienced traders. She also helps traders find the indicators best suited to their trading style, and will develop custom indicators when necessary. Barbara became interested in the financial markets about fifteen years ago. Tired of hand charting, she bought her first charting software soon after the 1987 crash, and has been fascinated by technical analysis and technical indicators ever since. Barbara’s articles and software reviews have appeared in Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine since 1991. She wrote the three-volume EZ Indicator Series for Metastock users, and co-authored the trading manual Oscillator/Cycle Combinations Metastock Supplement with Walter Bressert in 1992. She is active in the Market Analysts of Southern California, a group formed by John Bollinger and his colleagues and open to anyone interested in technical analysis. She has served as both a board member and vice-president of the organization. She also leads a technical analysis user group.

“Saturday Seminars” - Visual Investing: Back To The Basics
John’s workshop shows how relatively simple charting concepts like trend lines and support and resistance levels can be used to great advantage. The main focus of the workshop is to show how simple charting principles, combined with some intermarket ideas, can be applied to stock market sectors and mutual fund selection. This is the subject of his latest book, “The Visual Investor”.
John Murphy, CNBC-TV’s technical analyst for many years, wrote the book many technicians consider the core of their technical analysis library, Technical Analysis of the Futures Markets (Prentice Hall, 1986). Along with his daily broadcasts discussing the financial markets, John also heads his own consulting firm—JJM Technical Advisors, Inc. John founded JJM Technical Advisors in 1981 after serving for a number of years as director of commodity technical analysis and senior managed account trading advisor with Merrill Lynch. He is a past director and director emeritus of the MTA. John wrote Intermarket Technical Analysis (Wiley & Sons, 1991) and The Visual Investor (Wiley & Sons, 1996). John received the very first award given for Contribution to Global Technical Analysis, presented at the International Federation of Technical Analysts’ fifth World Conference in 1992
